Plant-based medicine has been prescribed by over 5,000 doctors in Australia. The Authorised Prescriber pathway is growing in popularity as Authorised Prescribers do not need to notify the TGA each time they prescribe plant-based medicine, unlike the Special Access Scheme. MCA has a national network of plant-based medicine prescribers and dispensing pharmacies. We assist this network in supporting a growing number of patients Australia-wide and help them stay up-to-date with the latest medical research.

MCA’s plant-based medicine is prescription medication and most pharmacies in Australia can dispense it, although each state & territory have their own requirements for dispensing. Pharmacists are typically provided with an original or e-script as well as evidence of TGA approval before they are able to dispense.
